Maybe Kelly did something like Les Miles did and that was another reason they fired him not just performance. Let their Lawyers handle it.

Explain to me how the way LSU has handled this has been in any way, shape, or form professional.

They couldn’t even fricking Fire Kelly correctly.

Even if he did, lsu didn’t give him notice before firing him. If the firing was for cause, They had to give him written notice before firing him so he can respond per his contract. Lsu never did.

You are basing this off a lawsuit filed against the BOS.

Can we at least wait and see what LSU has to say before we start nuking our own university?

Is it a good look? No. But we really don’t know a fricking thing—except what’s in the lawsuit. And frick that dude. I hope he gets hosed just like he hosed our football program.

No it depends on the nature of violation. You can suspend and then fire.

Okay, good. So surely we sent him a default notice when we "suspended him" informing him exactly what clause in the contract he breached, right? Surely we didn't wait until after settlement negotiations fell through to claim that he breached a clause in his contract, correct?

It’s gonna come out that BK was banging someone far younger than him early in his tenure (remember the divorce proceedings) and all the dirty laundry will come out.

I think because his wife knows, he doesnt care. He wants all of his $$ and this will also deter top candidates from coming which is a win win to BK as a middle finger to LSU.

It was always about the $$ with BK

Maybe how it works at your McDonald's job. Not how it works for $10 million/year football coaches.

So if Landry stays fully on the sidelines, what would keep LSU from doing the same stoppid stuff again? SW negotiated O's ridiculous buyout and then told us to hold his beer and watch this with BK.

How was this supposed to play out sans president?

It was a verbal agreement that a settlement would be reached.

Kelly even said so in his statement. He didn't agree to offers. No settlement. Now LSU responds with 7 day notice to fire for cause.

Absolutely true, however, that does not absolve you from your obligations spelled out in an employment contract.

So they can fire him for any reason, but they still have to pay him under the contract, except in very specific circumstances, and only if they follow the very specific procedures in doing so.

That’s not how contracts work.

And even if they fired him for no reason or any reason, he’s still owed his $$ as long as that reason doesn’t null his contract.

Based on the shite show so far id bet to say LSU comes out looking like amateurs

Contracts still exist in RTW states and RTW doesn’t absolve you of the language in the contract unless you can prove the other party didn’t hold up their end.
