Godzilla Minus 0.0

Didn't see this posted yet. Lotta speculation as to what's up with the logo change, as well as the minus 0.0.
Some see a girl praying in the stylistic G.
Others see Hedorah, aka The Smog monster, in its flying form. The 0.0 might be its eyes, or...
Mothra. With the woman (Noriko?) praying to Mothra and the 0.0 being her face.
Possible release December '26.

Word on the Godzilla reddit is that the director is a fan of both Hedorah and Biollante. Would be down for either or even both could possibly make both work

Well, it's told from the Japanese perspective. And the atomic bomb is known as being dropped by the USA. No need to oversell that point.
I really liked how they set up that the US and the Soviet Union were already at odds, and because of the Cold War, neither would be allowed to step in and help. It meant Japan was on its own, and as a Japanese centric story, it makes sense that's how they felt at the time.
We WERE the bad guys, to some extent, for dropping the bomb, the fire bombing, etc... but that's not the point. Japan had to deal with the mess which ultimately THEY started.

Those movies are awesome not sure why you’re hating. Acting / human characters aren’t the best but the action is top tier

This speaks to the array of different types of Godzilla movies that can and have been made. From dark horror to goofy kids movies, and much in between. Unfortunately, I see Legendary tracking towards the latter, and TOHO (Shin, Minus One) taking up different property. I prefer TOHO's current path, but there's seemingly something for everyone.

Absolutely love G Minus 1.
But, I have to wonder if this one will hit the same. That movie had the backstory of Japan (and its people) struggling to recover after WWII, which added heft. I am worried they may try to go back to that well and it won't land as well.

Seems to me that despite the tragedy they pulled together & tackled it the first time.
This is just a continuation of that story & those involved.
