Saw an interview with Ace from a couple of years ago. The interviewer asked him how to correctly pronounce his last name.

It’s not “Fray-lee” (as I have said since I was 9).

It’s not “Free-lee.”

He said it is pronounced “Frelly.”

I feel like my whole life has been a lie.

This is the only way I’ve ever heard it pronounced. And I’ve been a KISS fan since about 1976.

Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud and it doesn’t really matter.

Any idea what interview you watched/listened to? I want to hear him say that. In interviews with Paul and Ace, they always pronounced it "Fray lee". Seems they would know.

The play on his last name doesn’t really work for Frelly‘s Comet.
