Why do some servers at restaurants..

use plural pronouna like "are we ready to order yet" or "will there be anyone else joining us for dinner"?

Kinda annoying. Usually females.

I think your issue is that they're using 1st person plural. Not that it's simply plural.

Pronouns these days are confusing for everybody. Cut them some slack.

You sound like a customer that does not tip, drinks water but wants lemon, and complains his steak is too rare. Oh, and it is always someone's birthday so you get free ice cream.
