Outside of Seven Nation Army, I don't know any White Stripes music. I really like the stuff Twenty One Pilots did with Mutemath. I'm sorry I missed that tour.

sad to see that Andre 3000 didn't perform with Big Boi. Watched their acceptance speech and loved seeing Andre so was hoping he'd perform one last time, but to no avail.
For years I've listened to his interviews and completely get why he stopped rapping and respected that. Dude just wants to live his life and be done with rap and not try and be an old dude trying to keep up with what is hip. Makes sense. But if you show up to the rock and roll hall of fame and Big Boi is performing, don't leave him hanging, get up there and do a few songs for old times sake.

I like Mutemath a lot, seen them a couple of times. I was skeptical about the collaboration myself, but the energy both bands have worked well together, I thought.

Was White Stripes being inducted?

I feel like it should have just been a Jack White as a musician into the hall of fame thing. Meg didn't even bother to come. Jack White as obviously the talent of the White Stripes and just an incredible musician in general. Basically a rock historian as well. ills it live too. As an individual, he's perfect for the HoF, his acceptance speech kind of shows that too.

The only weird one is Salt n Pepa
But they always include non rock every year. So stupid

It is beyond ridiculous that Bryan Adams is not in the Hall of Fame. He certainly represented well for Joe Cocker's and Bad Company's legacies. I think he should have topped the list of inductees this year, rather than again topping the list of non-inductees. Hall of Famers open for him on tour...Geezzuuss!!

White Stripes has no business in the HOF.

Thom Bell
One of my favorite producers of the Philadelphia Sound.
What a shame it didn't happen when he was still alive (died in 2022). RIP

I was the same until about a year ago when I just picked them at random and decided to deep dive into their catalog. Man I was floored. I love that particular brand of rock that has an old school bluesy influence, similar to early Black Keys, and man the white stripes has that nailed.
If you dig that kinda music I would recommend listening to their 2nd album De Stijl. Just start at 1 and let it run. If you get to the end and aren't impressed then I'd say TWS just aren't for you, which is cool obviously. But if you do dig it it'll open up a whole new discography for you to explore.

Pretty sure he argued with me on here that The Black Keys/Dan Auerbach is talentless
