We have some neighbors, who moved to Texas from Hawaii, they say despite what you see on TV it's terrible.
Homeless shitting on the sidewalks, crime, immigrants, plus nearly all goods have to be shipped in so everything is terribly expensive.

Friendlier people, beaches are as good if not better, and I don't have to sit on a damn plane for 10 hours, not to mention all the time spent at the airport.
