But I expect he will start and play poorly. By the time we pull him for MVB it will be too late
Would really like to see what MVB can do with a full week of practice as QB1.
At least then we’d know for sure if he has potential to contribute in the future.

Truth is he was never really very good. Never progressed at all since his freshman year.
Link that to the worst O line this century and bad OC/playcalling and it was doomed to fail from the get go.

Hopefully 0%. We need a QB next year, especially if we don’t get a coach until the portal closes. So, we need to give Mike some reps. The team does not benefit one bit from playing Nuss.

Two things are certain for the rest of the season:
One- Nuss is starting 100%
Two- Nuss will be pulled 100% sometime between the start of the second half and the two minute warning.

The belief is Nuss is playing hurt. If that’s the case with the season being over he can go ahead and shut it down. Get healthy and prepare for the draft. Hopefully anyway.

He was pulled after a FG drive in a tight winnable game on the road and never reentered the game. That is not the thing you do with a 5th year QB in November and start him the following week.
It will be beyond stupid for MVB to not get first team reps this week and start against Ark with a game-plan that allows for the QB to move in the pocket and run the ball.
