Despite our typical pain in asses every game Nuss, Sharp, OL, etc.
The rest of the team played hard and deserved to win. We went toe to toe with Bama, and with just mediocre Offense we would have won.
We need to find the right HC. Ed O checked out after ‘19 and BK was average. I’m hopeful for our Tigers!

It's impossible to know but I don't think we would have been competitive at all with CBK coaching that game
The team played hard but too many costly mistakes

Yeah that game somehow made me feel better about the future

I saw EXACTLY the same problems with LSU I've seen all year. I only watched most of the first half but I saw way too many penalties, turnovers, no red zone offense, poor OL play, and no pass rush unless they blitzed. I believe LSU only sacked Simpson 1 time. The only improvement I saw was the playcalling was much better. There were screen passes and quicker passes. But LSU still couldn't run the ball and once LSU gets in the red zone, just get ready for a FG attempt.

That’s just sad.

we still have to hold on. Arkansas game is looming huge. Petrino's offense can score but they have a terrible defense.
I agree but it's not over yet.

That’s what happens when 80% of your completions are caught 4 yards behind the los

They throw so many screen passes because the line cannot sustain blocks so you must get rid of the ball quickly. 90% of the offensive issues are because of piss poor O-line play. It all starts up front fix that and you will fix most of the offensive issues. Contrary to popular belief it's not all on Nuss or MVB. Soon as MVB said hike he was running for his life it seemed and Nuss isn't mobile that's why he gets sacked a lot and MVB looked better.

We played tough in the 2nd half. We didn’t give up like we did in the A&M game

Your reply to me with a quote not by me is sort of strange. I didn't say there were too many screen passes and don't believe that BTW. I do agree that 18 completions for only 121 yards is ridiculous. But the number of short passes is indicative and not having enough time due to a poor OL to throw long passes. Simpson had time to order extra mustard on his hot dog unless LSU blitzed multiple guys. The LSU OL doesn't give LSU QBs that luxury.

Florida lost to Kentucky by 31 lol. It could definitely be worse

Even when Nuss had good protection he still went full retard

It really isn’t. We’re gonna be fine.
You can see flashes up and down this roster and the program is still in an elite position.
We get the ight coach and everything will fall in place. I’m more confident of that today than I’ve ever been.

Yup. We have a solid young core.

I’m beginning to wonder if Ed O “checked out”, or Woodward began meddling in the operation. Ed O was never his guy.
Sure, Ed was doing things he probably should not have. Not giving him any grace there. But, I’m wondering if it was all him that caused the demise.
I find it weird that he now wants the LSU job back now that Woodward is gone. Why would anyone want a job back where you supposedly effed it up so royally before? Personally, I wouldn’t want to show my face there again.

Don't you just love it when the pass rush is decent but not devastating and he spins to the outside and runs right into one of the rushers. I have seen that multiple times this season. What he SHOULD be doing is moving forward to an open area...last night there were only 3 rushing the play I'm talking about. He could have moved to an open area but he spins around and loses an extra 10 yards on the sack by running backwards. That is a lack of football instincts and fundamentals on the QB's part.

Nuss also played well except for the goofy arse roll out sack, when he didbt step up. They called 13 screens for him ha.
But agree with the post. Hat on hat we played well enough to win the game. We just do wayyyy too many dumb things (100+ yds in penalties) to win against top flight teams.
Refs also whiffed on 4-5 impact full call/ no calls

OP (And all of his Ilk) are stereotypical "Hopin and Wishin and Prayin" mediocrity loving trash that live in P&G fantasyland waving their pom poms for LSU.

Not at all weird. He’s already run through the settlement. He needs the money.
