I don’t think one extra day of golf anyone really cares about. I think it’s the guaranteed massive bags of cash.

All the guys who went to LIV made excuses like less golf, more family time, less schedule commitments, growing the game, etc.
It was all bullshite. The reason was more money. If the Saudi’s up the checks, those guys will keep showing up.

You still need to get enough points to keep your card. Just making 15 appearances doesn’t guarantee anything.

That’s one criteria. The tour also requires you to score enough points to keep your card.
Which is why most players play 20-25 tournaments at least.
But no one thinks guys went to LIV for time off. We know why they went $$$$$$$$$$

They were missing like 6-8ish criteria to be considered by the OWGR so unless the governing bodies change their criteria LIV is still short of being considered even with the change
