Will Louisiana benefit from the Zohran Mamdani exodus out of NYC?

It's expected thousands will leave NYC in the next 4 years mainly to the South. I know for a fact Tulane University has a large affluent NYC metro population so will that translate to an influx of affluent conservative NYC-NJ folks coming to Louisiana (mainly South Louisiana) restarting life, bringing new businesses, and having a huge positive economic impact? Louisiana needs it! The population and economic decline has been hard to ignore in recent years.

No and Tulane’s student body is made up of the worst kind of northerners. Rich, entitled, and liberal.

They’ll go to Miami or Tampa, not New Orleans.

No, Florida and Texas will.

They'll move to Jersey Shore

I think Madmani is a good thing.

Not with our Governor and high sales taxes.

They need to stay where they are. We don't want them here.

This thread is so sad
Heading to New York tomorrow. I’ll ask people I run into what their thoughts are on leaving for Louisiana and report back.

People are not beating down the door to move to the dumbest, poorest, and unhealthiest state. Sorry. Best thing our family ever did was leave Louisiana.

Tag me when you do. I know that many of them love New Orleans for the architecture, food, and culture. But will they move to the area as a permanent resident? Time will tell. It's hella of a lot cheaper than NYC

Honestly. I will ask random people I speak with the exact question “now that Mamdani was elected, would you consider moving to Louisiana?” And report back exact answers

These Yankees leaving NY are not good for the South. They want to "fix" us by voting the same way they did up north.
Yall are welcome but when you vote ...remember why you moved!

Lmao, no. Millionaires in NYC are not going to pick up and move to Louisiana b/c their taxes might go up 1-2%. You people are truly delusional.
