Something that would be a keepsake.

We used to give them as gifts but Tiffany's quite making rattles. You can find them now NOS if you look (but they are more expensive). They also make a lot of other things like spoons that make great baby gifts and actually are more likely to get used.

Keepsake? Do you know where your high school ring is if you're over the age of 25? Nobody wants shite like a silver baby rattle. It just becomes something that adults feel they need to take care of and track, or put in a shadow box or some shite. Be more creative, and get them 30 hours of paid babysitting or something.

Did they run out of silver spoons? Babies, like men, love one thing.. titties, buy them a nice set of honkers

It's stuck in my head to pronounce it the Indian way. Millee wa kay.

Babies don't need metal anything, unless you're hispanic and it's earrings. Silver spoons, rattles, all stink of chick collector syndrome for the parents, not for the kid. But at least dad is going to remember the frick out of your gift if you get him 20 hours of baby sitting instead of a useless piece of shite rattle which will end up in a box until his grandkids find it after he dies and throw it out.

The rattler is a gift for the baby when he grows up. It's not fir the parents.

I did a sterling baby cup with my daughters’ initials. We put velvet ribbon thru the handle & use it as a Christmas ornament now…just another idea.
