The problem with these polls is that the sentiment flips if the word "free enterprise" is used instead of "capitalism."

Probably 75% of registered Democrats today are believers in and supporters of Marxism.
They believe it’s the role of government to take care of people and manage society so that society is “fair”.
Doesn’t matter it’s ultimately been a failure wherever it’s been applied.
Not much you can do to try and talk or reason them out of their fantasies.
Those who don’t learn (or don’t want to learn) from history……
People just have to learn the hard way sometimes.

Their hubris tells them that it only failed because the people implementing it weren't as smart as they are. THEY'LL get it right this time.

It’s falling the majority of America quite spectacularly for a long time. People will look for just about any alternative if they’re desperate enough. Look who’s in the White House.

The party is made up of people who were born in a socialist country or whose parents were born in a socialist country - that and Muslims.

More truth than anyone wants to admit

I'd be surprised if 25% of registered democrats could accurately define capitalism.

Capitalism isn't what is failing them.

Similarly everyone around here talks about socialism and communism all the time when it doesn't apply.
If the top marginal rate went back to 39.6 from 37 that isn't communism.

Discussing marginal rates is meaningless.

I agree it's pretty trivial
But if you suggested moving even one of them up all of a sudden you're a communist

I wouldn't know what to admit. I wish he would've posted that post in English.
Must have been failed by the state sponsored school....

I think you're being obtuse here. Since we are speaking in generalities, it is usuallt not the raising of the rate that gets someone labled that way, it is their reasoning behind it and why they think it is necessary that labels them a communist.

He doesn't have the best prose, but if you can't figure out what he is trying to say then that's on you.

The 25% need to question why they are dems.

Which in this case would just make both people wrong

So it doesn't apply to the topic of the OP as well as to the fact that Democratic Socialists are holding offices and all are from the party whose constituents dislike capitalism?
Doesn't apply at all?
You sure about that or you just post to post?

You can not like capitalism without automatically wanting to be communist
Capitalism hasn't been around for thousands of years. If you think this is the "last" economic model to be tried, I don't know what to tell you.
