I have been getting outside info last week its been Lane Kiffin but it got quiet. I've always felt like Lane loves Florida and loved it at FAU. I believe he is choosing Florida.

Here is the latest. A potential CFP coach is in the works as we speak. Its being kept hush and an unofficial no was given early on but here is what a couple friends have said in South Bend.

Its Freeman. He and Verge are pretty close.

Marcus Freeman gents. They have a good chance at the playoffs at ND again so its hush for now.

Thats the word. Don't know if this is credible but these people believe he is gone at the end of the season at ND.

GTFO. We aren’t hiring ND coach twice in a row after we just paid tens of millions for the last one to frick off.

Go somewhere else with your trolling bullshite.

Keep starting new threads about different coaches and you'll eventually be correct.

Why would Freeman leave after he saw what happened with his predecessor? Why would LSU want another coach who did well against the typical lame ND schedule?

Freeman has it made at ND. Can lose a couple of games every year and is assured of getting in the playoffs.

First off, I don't see him leaving South Bend, but I actually think he'd do well here.

I know many on this board have PTSD from the previous Notre Dame hire, but he did just take them to the natty last year.

I actually got to go up to South Bend recently and see him interact with the team and we'd be lucky to get him. He's actually one of the most impressive coaches I've been around. It was also interesting to hear how much more people in the athletic department liked him over Kelly and how much the culture changed.

Like I said, I'll believe it when I see it and find this hard to believe, but I'm here for it if it somehow happens.

Freeman is a great coach, but after firing Kelly the optics make hiring Freeman not even in the question

I’d be happy with Freeman. Seems very unlikely IMO though. I think Freeman is set until OhioSt comes open sometime in the future when Day goes pro.

But I have no clue what the behind-the-scenes is at ND. Does he not get along with the AD or something?

one friend is a business partner of mine that went to ND and is a booster. He swears Freeman is gone at end of season.

Did he give a reason why he'd want to make a move? He seemed pretty content there to me.
