It's no surprise Mandami won

Give me a lean and hungry Cassius Clay over a worn out retread if he is well funded any day of the week. Reminded me of McDaniel Cochran race to some degree.
Cuomo was a disgraced Governor. His ability to screw things up was unparalleled.
Forget Covid. Remember the Fannie/Freddie meltdown? It was Andrew Cuomo who forced them to start doing subprime loans when he was HUD Secretary.
After the meltdown, as NY AG, he wrecked the appraisal industry with a settlement.
He ran a weak campaign, was arrogant, and had a questionable record. Saying vote me for because I am not him rarely works.
Same thing happened to Bush against a charismatic Bill Clinton (Who needed Ross Perot's help). Old and worn out loses to Cassius Clay every time.
Real problem is the Democrats ran no one better. It will be funny if the Republican Congresswoman wins the Governorship. Seeing her and Mandami go at it? Oh that HAS to happen.

The question is why did the democrats allow Mamdani to run as a Democrat ? Why not kick him out the party to run as a DSA or independent?

Their own policies are being used against them by the radicals. They import foreigners and they in turn vote for foreigners. They don’t require id’s to vote and ballot harvest. If they fix these issues the republicans will pick up new seats and states. If they don’t fix the issues the radicals take over.

Because they are cowards, and are afraid of push back from the Progressives. It's the tail wagging the dog. When Progressives really came about, the Dems were excited for the new voting block....now they are in control. That's what the growing Muslim population is trying to do to our country.

All true... Also true that younger generations don't feel like they can afford a house, have a kid, get married etc. Dems are pivoting from culture stuff to affordability. It's a winning issue for them right now even though Jotato and the money printing caused the problem. Repubs have to take it seriously or more smooth talking Mamdanis will win telling them the boomers are the oppressor and they are the oppressed.

Because the average democrat in this country is a communist piece of shite just like Mamdani. They AGREE with bis stance. Have you been alive for the last few years?

it also helps when you import a couple
hundred thousand automatic voters who are going to vote for whoever promises the most free shite.

There ya go. They only win because they cheat.
Talk about a blind spot.

Why wouldn’t they? He fits their party pretty well, he is just up front about it.

don’t play dumb.
They most certainly have used open border policies to aid their quest for power, the other stuff I can’t speak to but I have seen a lot of rumors about it on Twitter.

No one else was talking about the things he was and it got people's attention. Did anyone know what platform either Cuomo or Adams was running on? Plus he ran a disciplined campaign. Always on message, did not really get defensive on the name calling or prediction of NYC imploding, etc.

Sure but you clowns fall into the trap of thinking that is why they win. Yeah, to some degree but the poster above nailed it. Charismatic candidate with a message and money, old worn out hags with no message. Gee, who wins that WITHOUT cheating?

settle down. I didn’t say it was the singular reason he won, just a part of it. I agree with your summation otherwise. Cuomo was a bad alternative option for a lot of New Yorkers

Zohran is currently having his ring kissed on Good Morning America. It’s incredible.

a city/borough that re-elects Bragg at a 83% clip on a 'get Trump, moar crime' platform and did you see the Columbia (and many others) pro-terrorist cum genocide protests.
It was a foregone conclusion. Don't hate Mandami... hate New Yorkers.
Don't expect him to fail (yes that) AND they reverse course. They will continue to double down. History has shown this ends only one way. The only question is whose blood will fill those buckets. I betcha the average citizen that can't flee is the first to the block.

True. The young voting generation has been indoctrinated to be enamored with socialism/communism. They have been told that, in these ideologies, the government will pay for everything. Why would I work? The government will support me, give me a place to live. I can be free to be an activist or an artist. Better still, they can tell me how to live my life. They can parent me and I never have to grow up and become responsible.
This is what we’re up against.

He's just the mayor of NYC. The influence nationally is minimal. NYC problems are not even Philly or Boston problems.....certainly not the same problems in Memphis or Birmingham.....or Houston.
You guys are drama queens.

If you think he’s gonna stop there, you’re short sided.
If you don’t think that the Left will use this formula to strategically plant more Muslim Socialists in places of power around the country, then you’re wrong.
