Gave away the house on bold moves and have next to nothing to show for it.

Loomis shoukd have went out the door with Payton. Needed an entire fresh start when he left.

Davenport could be the worst pick in league history.

I think this may be the worst. Nobody remembers him because he NEVER played.

Davenport actually flashed talent. Dude was the football version of Mr glass.

Picking him also had the added bonus of us not re signing Hendrickson on top of it so he could start.

Don’t know the specifics of those but Davenport costing us two 1st is All time bad as well. Add in the Turner and Penning picks and it makes you wonder if the Saints even care. Mickey still having a job is just a big middle finger to all of us.

From day 1 I said many of times on this board that Davenport was overrated and not worth what we gave up to get him. 90% of this board bashed me and claimed Davenport was our best defensive player. Guess I was right all along and now you other 90% might finally admit you were wrong about Davenport

Its more than those 2 drafts. We made some horrendous picks cumulatively.

2018 - 2023 Draft netted us the following current starters.

- Erik McCoy
- Cesar Ruiz
- Pete Werner
- Chris Olave
- Alontae Taylor
- Bryan Bresee

That is 6 starters in 6 drafts. That is pathetic.

Payton Turner

Injury Status: Placed on injured reserve in August 2025 due to a rib injury, which will cause him to miss at least the first four games of the 2025 season.

Russell Erxleben punter
quote:

He was unexpectedly selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round (11th overall pick) of the 1979 NFL draft as a combination kicker and punter, where he remains the highest drafted punter and the second highest kicker in NFL history.[2] Erxleben only spent six years in the NFL

Loomis got good return on Sheed technically. I wanted SS22 to be a part of the rebuild though.

We need a fast deep threat now. But hey. Get some scraps as best we can from the Allen era.

Well, there were quite a few of us that bitched about the Davenport compensation given up……as well as the Olave compensation.

Now I am worried that Micky is going to end up extending Olave and paying him as a #1 when he’s not IMO.

Although it’s nice to see him have a couple of decent games recently.

It’s sad how far the bar has fallen with this team

Overall though, today was a decent day, I would have liked to have acquired some more picks…….but this was better than expected
