Jets fire sale

Just got three firsts and a second, from two players.
Not sure we have a single player that could land a first or a second outside Banks, only b/c he was just drafted.

and they suck on the field with all that talent paying fields 20 million a year. man, there's not been a moment in my life of having mickey loomis i thought to myself "i wish we were more like the jets"

They also lost two absolute game changers on defense also.

they traded all pro players. we traded a guy that is probably a high end #3 WR. Unless you want to trade Banks, we don't have anyone on our roster that is worth even a single 1st round pick.

Well no shite Sherlock. The point is, we can’t even have a fire sale b/c we have nothing of substantial value due to Loomis’s drafts….

So they now have 3 firsts and 2 seconds and a need for a franchise QB? We end up #1 overall and trade for those 3 1s

Imagine if before the 1st college game this year, someone told you the Jets may have to trade multiple 1sts in '26 to move up to the first pick and select Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana

They had 3 firsts in 2022. It's worked out in typical Jets fashion.

This thread went way way over most of your heads. No way in hell woukd I have given Fields that contract, but it’s still no where near as bad as Carrs. They can cut him at the end of the year and be done. It was a one year see what you can do deal. Keep you two years if it turned out ok. Which it didn’t. So they eat 30 million in one year.
But the point is they are just as bad as us but still had elite players that pulled in multiple high picks. And they still have players on that roster that would pull in more in a trade than our players.
We have nobody, not one player on our entire roster that would pull in two firsts or a first and second. That’s reality. It’s a sad state of affairs.
