Remember ,there was a 14-14 tie in 1985. Regardless, first win at home since a 20-15 win in 1969...... Nov 4, 2000: LSU 30 Alabama28

Was there, only game I've ever attended with my brother. We had a great time and stayed until after the game!

Had they not --and having attended that game I was amazed that not one referee saw what actually happened-- I've always had a bad feeling there may have been a riot like you've read about in soccer matches. The crowd was ready to strangle somebody.

I was there ! Just found a picture I lost yesterday in the garage!, It shows everyone running onto the field!
Think it had been 30 years that Alabama beat us there?

Yes, LSU won 20-15 in 1969. While LSU went from 1971-1999 without winning (SEC schedule change had LSU host back to back home games in 1991 and 1992) there was a 14-14 tie in Baton Rouge in 1985.

The best game I ever went to. It was a crazy night.
eta...Well I should have said afternoon but we partied at the tailgate till the wee hours in the morning. The crazy thing was them trying to throw the goal post over the side of the stadium.

Was there, ran on the field, still have grass, or what is left of it in a ziploc bag somewhere

Freshman year for me. I rushed the field. Got some grass and stuffed it into a plastic bag. That win was a big deal.

Is this the Robert Royal game?

Only time I’ve seen refs “forget” which team has possession of the ball.
