Joe Brady wants to be in the NFL

He will likely be in the next cycle of head coaches in the nfl.

Even if he were to be hc at lsu. If he has any success he is gone to the nfl in 3 years.

Joe Brady would command approx $3-5mil /year as an nfl HC given his background & experience.


He could easily make $7-8 mil at a top tier CFB program right off the bat.

Wasn't it also pretty well known that Brady wanted no part of having to recruit teenagers 24/7/365 as a college coach?

Maybe.

The salary range in college is as much as the NFL. You don't walk away from a 13M job in college that you are successful in lightly...especially when there's real risk as to whether you will be successful in a completely different environment.

I think your first point is really the most important factor.

If they hired him and he only stayed 3 years, I think he would be able to build something being so young, closer to the age of all recruits. It's always a high dollar risk.
