but coach hasn't addressed the Nuss issue. I want him to say, "we're looking at Nuss' injury to make sure he can throw the ball. If he is healthy, he's our man, but if he can't deliver like the Nuss of old, we'll let MVB or Hurley get a shot.

Instead, the issue is just ignored. I was disturbed to hear Mike Detilier in his interview with dandydon acknowledge Nuss' injury, and then go on to say he wanted him to play anyway.

If Nuss plays like he has been playing this year, and he is our starter, we face a couple more blowouts.

LSU needs to just keep everything close to the vest. If Buren is going to get time, why announce it? Throw a curveball at Bama.

I’m not saying LSU wins, but you see all the time said coach gets fired, and the team gets up for a game or two after the fact. I think Wilson will have the boys ready to run through a brick wall and play for pride.

I’d change it all up, and throw a bunch of different shite at Bama. Reminiscing on the Missouri game when O and Ensminger took over and LSU dropped over 600 yards on their heads.

He shouldn't be "our man". Should be the best QB who can help us win and he has yet to prove that.

Regardless, even if we get blown out the rest of the games, I'll still be happy we won't enter next season under the leprechaun. All of us should be rejoicing even though it's a busted season with a busted QB.

What’s the Nuss issue?

I'm willing to throw all my impressions of this team up to this point out the window. There's a reasonable chance that this staff was significantly holding this entire team back. Plus the bye week to heal up. I'm very interested in seeing what kind of team shows up Saturday

the nuss issue is his torso injury that prevents him from throwing the ball like a healthy Nuss is capable of doing.

He has no offensive line and he’s not mobile.

A new guy at the helm, new OC, new play calls, a dramatically improved team morale, and openness to using MVB in certain situations, combined with Bama week....

and you can get fired up?

You are spoiled. This is not intended to be an insult. You are a fan that is accustomed to seeing a certain level of product on the field.

It is like having a favorite restaurant that gets sold. The new owner lets the product go to shite, so you no longer look forward to going there. When yet another owner comes in, you can't help but expect the low quality to continue. You need to hear that they picked up a sought after executive chef and see good reviews before you can really feel that things are returning to your level of expectations.

The only injury Nuss has is between his ears.

I'm more excited for the next games than I have been for the last 2-3.

It's because the "Nuss is injured" line was always bs. He just flat out sucked this year and it's too late into the season to backtrack on that

I'm excited for the Bama game though if they come out and actually play hard unlike what we've seen lately they can make a game out of it

there is no guarantee that Nuss won't be playing the entire game. I am totally demoralized.

I would say that the last games need to be about player evaluation, but many may be gone which may not be a bad thing. This program needs to develop a system with processes in place to ensure success. This takes bold vision and some risk taking, but not the suicidal coaching decisions that have marked the last two AD administrations. I doubt that will ever happen.

it's way past time to move on from Nuss, should take a look at MVB to see how hard to look in the portal

Start MVB and gameplan to get Berry 20 touches.
Doesn’t take a visionary savant.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think this board quite understands just how bad Joe Sloan was. Go watch the play calling in the second half.

First possession:
1. Run for 3 yards
2. 7 yard comeback route to the far side of the field to Brown that's broken up.
3. Sack
4. Punt

Second possession:
1. 5 yard contested catch comeback route to the far side of the field to Brown
2. PA rollout incomplete pass to the sideline (100% a catch that our coaching staff somehow didn't see and make the officials review)
3. flat route to AA caught behind the LOS where AA had to make 2 men miss to get 4 yards and the first down
4. Zavion Thomas motion run for loss of 1
5. incomplete pass to the boundary
6. 7 yard out route on 3rd and 10
7. Punt

Third Possession:
1. Screen pass to Brown on the short side of the field for 3 yards
2. 3 yard comback route to the far side of the field to Brown that is broken up
3. flat route to Green for a loss of 5.

With both of their jobs on the line, that's what Kelly allowed Sloan to do. Nothing in the middle of the field (one total play with that even being a possibility). Screens to the shortside and comebacks to the far side. 1 traditional running play. It was the worst play calling I have ever seen.

We have successful plays in the playbook. We just don't run them more than once per quarter.

We have elite talent on the outside, we just don't get them the ball in space or down the field.

We have elite talent in the backfield, we just don't run the ball in the second half.

This team has as much talent as anyone in America, except (unfortunately) the current state of the offensive line.
