Grocery stores that spray water all over their produce all day

Why do they do this? No one likes soggy disgusting dripping wet produce. It is nasty. No way it doesn’t cause the stuff to go bad faster if it’s dripping wet. Places just have water sprayers blasting their produce all day. Who are they doing this for? This is crazy.

They sell it by the pound, water is weight.

I've never seen a store do the spraying "all day".
Find a better store.

To keep it cool, fresh, crisp and to extend shelf life. How do you think lettuces look if left at room temperature and kept dry after a few hours? There’s literally a category of produce called “wet veg”. They’re shipped and stored in cartons that have ice injected into them within a few hours of being harvested.

It’s a cheap form of pest control.

That’s not water. It’s the same chemicals as in chemtrails with some fluoride mixed in.

They are spraying a new EPA approved bullshite spray made by Bill Gates called Apeel. It is a preservative & they are allowed to spray it on Organic food too!!!!

This allows you to wet your fingertips so you can get the plastic bags open. Touch the broccoli then open the bag.

All of the pre packaged items. Don’t ever buy that stuff. That’s typically where the salmonella outbreaks originate from. Stick with whole head items. At the facilities that process the value added items they are required to test frequently for the presence of bacteria. But if they don’t test the right spot on a blade or the line it can be missed.

it's the same water that Alex Jones said is turning the frogs gay.

I don’t think that they’re spraying Apeel in the grocery stores, although they do apply that during the packaging process. Generally stores are actively spraying produce with a mixture of water and hypochlorous acid.
You’re right about Apeel being shady though. I think the FDA considers it “generally safe”.

Thank you for the tips- I tend to avoid prepared produce for the most part. I think I'll be even more careful in the future.
You, and those like you, are my heroes... we need oversight on those foods that are supposed to be good for you but often end up giving more trouble that a bag of Doritos never would.
There needs to be a real American Hero ad for y'all.
