I see a lot of random Instagram and Twitter vids of tigerland and lsu campus and 90% of everyone in the videos is ghetto (black and white people). Is that just how it is now? Or just a bad sample collection of videos.

I visited 2 weeks ago after not setting foot on campus in 5 years.

It was astoundingly ghetto. I was legitimately saddened.

Most of the areas right outside the north gates are ghetto, so it sort of tracks.

I think he's talking about the student body.

Its surrounded by the ghettos on Highland Road and Nicholson. You cannot prevent the cancer that is the ghetto culture from spreading. So yes to your question and it will probably get worse due to universities promoting the woke culture and cultural acceptance of ghetto behavior.

I was on campus last week during class hours. I wouldn't call it a ghetto, but it's way more ghetto than ever before. Plenty of pajama wearing slobs.

ETA: Some areas resemble NOLA roads, with potholes so large it's difficult to imagine a sedan driving over without bottoming out. I left very disappointed and a bit bummed out.

The folks in charge have allowed the student body to become increasingly ratchet by lowering standards to admittance.

Yes

While Tate sounded reasonable and moderate with public comments, behind the scenes he was pushing DEI hard in admissions.

I'm interested to see updated demographic information for this school year. It certainly seems like it.

Visit a few other SEC schools and you'll already know how LSU's demographics compare to those.

I thought the Coke commercial with the white lsu guy with scraggly beard, chain, and oversized jersey walking by Bama guys was a misrepresentation. Are we saying that is pretty accurate? If so, that is kinda sad.

Definitely ghetto according to the Revellie posts and comments. Sorry to see LSU fall.

I'll be taking the kiddo to check out Auburn and Vandy in a couple of months. I can only imagine.

The videos aren't AI.

It wasn't particularly hard to get into 25 years ago.

I'm curious what it takes these days. Does a 2.5 GPA and a 22 ACT still do the trick? I think that's what it was when I was a senior in HS or at least close & that's barely above an "average" student so I guess they are just letting everyone in to get the government cheese loans

Tailgating for South Carolina was eye-opening. Huge roaming crowds of what one would assume weren’t students and group after group of girls passing that made it feel like a strip club in the hood. That and the pervasive smell of 420 made me wonder where I was, even though we were right next to the Indian Mounds. Yikes.

Over the past several years, has LSU seen an increase in students attending on grants?

The north side is ghetto, but the south and east sides are some of the most expensive real estate in Baton Rouge. The north side (Old South Baton Rouge) needs to be cleaned up badly and I'm dismayed that the old Plantation Trace apartments (once "the" place to live for LSU students) has turned into a slum. Tigerland just needs to be burned to the ground.
