Standing alone and watching the other team celebrate is the lamest thing in sports.

If tweet fails to load, click here. You lost lil bro. Clean out your locker and turn in your jersey. He could be with his teammates after a CRUSHING World Series loss, but of course he has to make it all about himself and get the photo op. Vladdy is making a strong case for the most unlikable person in sports.

Listen up, dong lover! He just spent all season with his teammates. Maybe he just wanted to be alone for a little while?
And, as for making a case...you have definitively made an iron-clad case as one of the most unlikable posters on this board!
Eat a dong, KingDouche!

Actually after a heartbreaking, gut wrenching season ending loss, me and two team mates were acting like sore losers and coach made us 3 take a knee and watch the other team celebrate.
It was a lesson in humility, dignity and sportsmanship that still sticks with me 4 decades later.

Hey man. GFY. What a loser post.. st least HIS team made the WS…

Yeah there’s a guy who was 2 outs away from a World Series ring dealing with a tough loss in his own way but let’s listen to the random anonymous message board yokel on a Sunday morning for insight as to “how” it should be handled.

He was the best player in the series (better than Yamamoto), he was on the better team, and his team lost all 3 coin flip games (including 2 closeout games at home). If there ever was a situation for watching the opposing team celebrate, this is one.

Very lame post. Vlad is one of the best players in the game and showed out

I recall the Yankees remaining in the dugout when Arizona won. You’re gonna call them lame too ?

As a team. Not one player staying out for a photo op while the rest of the team was in the clubhouse. Derek Jeter didn’t stick around trying to get a photo op while the rest of the team was in the clubhouse.

I have no problem with that at all. It’s fuel for next year and beyond. Every player is seeking that moment and to be so close in front of your fans just to have it ripped away has to suck for them. Scherzer said they were gutted. I think it was Clement that said he spent the last hour crying. Hoffman talked about letting everyone down. It’s raw in the moment but they should be proud of their season and the joy they brought to the city. They had a great ride and literally came up inches short.
