NE AR. 37 degrees with 5mph N wind. Overlooking a small clover plot surrounded by white oaks. Acorns everywhere. Leaves changing colors. Just a beautiful day to be in the woods. GL all.

Slept in this morning. I did see a pile of deer yesterday afternoon. 3 young 8pts. A couple spikes, and several antlerless. I stuck first doe at 31yds a tad high and she dropped. Then 2nd one was at 41 and she ran 30 yds.

Was in Houston County, AL

46 degrees, sunny. Zero wind

Pop up blind in platform, .270 Bog’d

Seen a four point. More than I saw all of yesterday.

Baw at the camp next door did get this 20” 8-point yesterday. Required some tracking last night but we managed. Biggest deer I’ve seen out here.

Back at it in Wilson County, TX with my son. Watched 3 nice 8 pts earlier this morning. Probably should have let him shoot the oldest one but it’s our first weekend to hunt this place.

They were moving about 7:30 AM. Just can’t get a shot on anything. Need a freezer filler!

Traveled 2.5 hrs to the lease, hotel room, popped a tire on a big arse thorn, but sat with my son yesterday and today having a great time. Passed on a really good 8 pt this morning that we waffled on. Get back home and sitting around this evening and the camera on the feeder 100 yards from the back porch goes off with this ole boy:
