Anyone here put a swirl of Ketchup on their bowl of Gumbo?

My buddy does this and said he learned it from his great grandpa from Ville Platte. I tried it last night at his house and can't say that I hated it. I like it more than potato salad, which I have never understood.

Ketchup and mustard (in potato salad) are full of vinegar. Most of us that want that little bit of acidity use a Louisiana hot sauce.
