One of the worst in game coaches. I’ll never forget him blowing the game against Ga Tech

Needs to start coaching in reverse because his teams always fade as the season goes on.

Too many penalties and the defense flat out quit after SMU got the pick in OT.

Took a knee with a timeout at the end of regulation. Could at least run the draw play vs prevent and if get good yards take a shot or two. Dumb.

He does not seem that quick. He may be smart but often seems lost in the moment,

If they drop another game, I wonder if Miami would consider giving him the James Franklin treatment

Mario has a long runway and bigtime benefactors pumping money into the program because of him. He fricks up but they've clearly raised the talent level. He's gonna need losing seasons to get canned.

Are you sure you are not talking about Big Game James?

I haven't watched any games today but I just read the thread on Clemson and dabo and now I read this thread. As I've said many times the CEO recruiter model is dead

That’s because he’s a meat head, an honest to goodness Lurch.

Miami coach Mario Cristobal's late-game decisions have been widely criticized and there's another making the rounds following Saturday's 26-20 overtime loss at SMU.

Cristobal elected to call timeout with 1:08 to play leading 20-17 with SMU facing a fourth-and-9 near midfield with no timeouts. The timeout was called just before the snap, and defensive lineman Marquise Lightfoot failed to stop his momentum after the whistle blew and was flagged for an unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting quarterback Kevin Jennings.

The Mustangs used the free yardage to get into field goal range to tie it before eventually winning in overtime, the program's first win over a top 10 opponent at home in more than 50 years.

SMU couldn’t stop the clock nor was it remotely sniffing FG range

To be fair, when your offense comes away with 0, the game is over lol
