Donor name paying buyouts?

Why have the names of the donor or donors paying the buyouts not been shared yet? I’m not talking about speculation from sauces, I mean let’s put it to bed and say Mr & Mrs So&so are paying
Everyone says of course the donors pay for this like it no big deal but why does it seem to be something secretive or not shared? I get someone may not want their employees to know their philanthropy is really just buying out failed coaches and ADs but somehow their must be some official assumption of the liability, correct?

Liability for what?

Liability for the remaining payout to satisfy the contract

Exactly. They start advertising they gave the school tens of millions of dollars to fire a coach, they'll start having all kinds of people hassling them for money.

They made a donation to TAF. How can they be liable for anything?
The donors want to remain anonymous.

Thankfully, in America donations to private charities are not required to be reported publicly.

All of the hoopla this week is not supposed to be how any of this works allegedly so why don’t we continue the trend and put the issue to bed and have people willing to cover the buyout stamp it with their name?
Seems like a good way to put the Governor in check, if a name was out on the line to cover it. To that point, who can know the names of the donor/donors?
Or I am I really ignorant and a lot of the buyout will come from our TAF donations? Will the “normal” fans really be funding part of the buyout? I keep hearing it’s “not my money”.
I’m no expert but apparently we have lots around so please learn me something

Some people just prefer to do good and stay anonymous.
There's a parishioner at my church who makes a $50-80k anonymous donation each year. Would love to know who it is, but they don't want any attention for it. Although I often wonder if the church office knows...

I heard that guy in Cali is giving $30 million this month. Also heard that one other big donor promised to make up the difference. PLUS, they "passed the hat" last Sat night at game and got about $10 million in pledges to be paid before the end of the year.
I cannot vouch for the truth of this, but it was told to me by an LSU employee who works for the LSU Foundation.

There has been no donation to TAF for Kelly or Woodward
Kellys contract allows him to be paid $800K a month, even if fired. Thats where we are right now. Rumors are that Scotty quit. Which means he doesnt get a buyout
But if both men sue for their money. TAF is not liable. The University is. The board of supervisors said they are still trying to work that out
