Think he wants to give up a cushy 15m/yr TV gig to come be AD?

Also are we gonna pay 15m/year for an AD then turn around and pay the same for a coach?

Make that make sense. One of the dumbest narratives coming out of this whole ordeal

Interesting thought. This hasn't been talked about at all this week!

I been saying this for sometime. He had a pretty meaningful relationship with Skip when Skip transitioned from coach to AD. It's a way for Saban to be involved in sports and not on the sideline. He still wanting to have an impact.

He hated dealing with NIL. As AD he would be responsible for NIL for every team on campus.

I think he’s exactly what we need at AD. He knows what championship programs look like and he doesn’t suffer fools. He’s also always been good at finding good coaches.

I doubt at this point in his life Saban needs to make decisions based on compensation. It’s all about what he wants to do with his life. If he wants back in college sports without the headaches of coaching I can see it. Maybe he stays where he’s at, or maybe he sits on his couch and watches reruns of Murder She Wrote. The fruits of a very successful career.

Makes more sense to me than coaching.
At 74, we would be starting the process again in a couple of years.
COACHING is not what/how it used to be.

I'd love to see Saban offered the AD position.

Bingo - right answer. Let him keep doing gameday and commercials. For him it would be a part time job. Give him a jet and a nice house on 30A.

Are you insane? No way ESPN is paying Saban that much. More like $2-3 million. Look it up. I say bring him in to coach for 5-6 years, then AD job if he wants it.
