Requirement for Next AD

Apolitical. With the university in the capital city and recurring party changes in the Governor’s mansion, it would seem to me the AD needs to be a political chameleon to keep from alienating one side of the political spectrum/donors/fans/boosters/etc.
I don’t live in the state so don’t follow internal issues closely but reporting accounts suggests that SW did not do that effectively and spurned the ire of the Governor. Lesson learned for future ADs; overall positional success depends on it.

Woody was very good at fund raising. Alienating the idiot Governor isn’t difficult.

This has long been described as a strength of Woodward's. The problem was the governor's office getting more petulant.

Being close to such a polarizing figure as Carville isn’t wise; keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

The AD needs to be in alignment with the governor, pres, bos and HC, all MAGA all the time.

Go all maga and watch lsu football will be majority white players or 2*or 3* blk players! lol

Landry will fade away soon.....unless he gets one of his buddies to be president. Then it will be a disaster!

This isn’t about Landry. This is about whichever political party occupies the position. It’s his duty to transcend political affiliation. I’m amazed at the Landry Derangement Syndrome that appears to consume this message board.

I’m sorry to inform you but you’ve been diagnosed with LDS…

And don’t bow down to BLM like cuck Woodward and how about don’t color the Tiger Stadium LSU lights in favor of a multi time felon, drug addict.
LSU Athletics should never, ever be a political entity.

Apolitical.
I never knew Woodward's politics, until Landry vagina bled on every sports talk show in America.
I dgaf about an AD/Coach/Player's politics, anymore than I gaf about Matt Damon or Ruffallo's

Agree; examples of what not to do…

It matters if you’re overtly and actively political in a manner that runs counter to the sitting governor. It shows horrible judgment and no self-awareness; puts self above position/institution. Now you’re viewed as a threat.

None?
Then frick him

Good lord, no one said the governor should run the athletics department. They have to be able to work with each other and not be political enemies. Not a hard concept to understand. Another LDS patient I see.
