Was that the governor isn't going to limit their spending when it's all said and done. I was nervous that he'd insert himself and force a small contract.

The boosters will get whoever they want and are willing to pay for, and Verge seemed to be saying that's pretty much any coach in the country.

The real powers of the state don’t listen to Landry.

What Landry does for twitter is very minor to real work behind the scenes. The new AD will right a hefty contract and Landry won’t say crap cause that’s “his guy”

Landy is just spewing shite to get in front of a microphone. This all about him and has zero to do with LSU.

Why? Landry is not the most discrete governor, but he is not dumb. LSU is going to be just fine.

The TAF, and in particular its biggest donors, were never going to let the governor dictate anything.

The issue isn’t the governor hiring the coach, it’s him spinning up the idiot masses by convincing them they “they” are responsible for all of these big numbers being thrown around.

The number of people who actively and willingly jump into the mud pit the governor took a firehose to is a bit sad.

The problem is the perception across the country is that if you take the coaching job at LSU. If the governor doesn't like you, he can get you fired. And you now have to answer to the AD and the state governor.

If its not true, then someone needs to come out and put Landry in his place, but the fact that everyone is afraid to say it means they are either all Landry puppets or proving it true because they know Landry will just have them fired if he disagrees with them.

A lot of the people who will fund the next coach also funded his campaign

If he tried to do something, it'd be political suicide

Any coach that is actually worth a shite and wanted this oppurtunity would just look at it as "well, I won't be losing anyway."

Nobody is looking at this situation and thinking “the governor didn’t like the AD, so he got him fired.”
