Landry will be saddled with whoever the next coach is. If he is sucesfull Landry will say its all because of his influence AD, President, board. If the coach fails it will hung around his neck by everyone.

y'all give coaches too much credit for assumed mental savviness, they see the money, resources, and talent around a program and walk around with huge boners hoping for the chance

What happens when new AD is hired before football coach is hired? Does Verge just turn over his paper work or is Verge already the new AD?
