If Scott Woodward isn't doing the search who and what are they doing today on coach search

They are getting a new LSU President in place, who will be hired by next week. That’s the priority

We don’t know that, but how exactly do you go about this in the middle of the year? It’s just bad timing and you have to be a little patient, which is extremely hard around here.

For me, an interesting thought if Woodward is not involved, is who does the new coach answer to if not the AD?

There are 5 weeks left in the CFB season, relax. Scott is doing his job today (he still is the AD). The new AD and Scott will definitely have a period of crossover and communication. There is a carry over effect. The new AD cant just come in start dry, there is at minimum an orientation phase, though likely to be brief. Also, agents arent stupid, they are not going down the road with Scott only to start over with a new AD.

I would think he will be involved in some capacity in the search process and as the Gov said Woody will not make the final decision. For stability I hope he is not fired in the near future but I would think his days are numbered.

You do realize there are multiple high level positions at the athletic department besides Woodward right? And ultimately the head coach answers to the university president, which the new one will be hired next week.

That’s my main concern right now. Woodward has been neutered so he’s not doing shite right now towards the coaching search. So who the frick is vetting coaches and making offers/talking to agents.
Completely dysfunctional and top tier guys are going to think twice. It’s hard enough to hire a quality coach. Now these fricktards made it more difficult.

Basically the most they can do is put out calls to agents to see who would even be potentially interested.
