No way a team that is healthy is this bad. The fix must be in on depleting the fan base and trying to move the team. Willie would have been fired by now by any competent owner.

I think there was alot of optimism among the team with the hiring of Dumars that Willie would finally be canned. When that didn’t happen they checked out. It’s the only logical explanation. You know it’s bad when Herb is giving this level of effort on defense.

Do we know if the players like Borrego? They clearly have checked out Willie but would they play hard for Borrego?

This is not surprising.
Terrible coach.
Guys with questionable personalities/drive/confidence and rookies: Zion, Queen, Fears, Poole and possibly Trey.
I think Herb, Jose are the mentally strongest.
Very little leadership. Poole cannot be your leader.
Just a bad team, bad coach and terrible owner.

It’s an echo chamber in here, rightfully so, but it just makes no fricking sense why WG was retained. He’s shown you nothing, year after year. What professional coach gets this long of a leash? Offer him a management level job if he’s such a good person and bring in a real coach who can elevate this team.

Borrego offense was top 10 in offense with that Charlotte squad. Ball movement, pace and three point shooting were all top 10. I hope to see that with us when he does become HC.

I don't know why people think this. This is an awful roster right now.
Zion is a well below average #1 option in the NBA. Trey is a well below average #2, and so on down the line.
We are well below average everywhere, across the board, as a whole.
Why would anyone have expected us to be anything other than bad?

The owner is from New Orleans, lived here all her life. Still lives in the same home. Didn’t earn the money so the money doesn’t move her.
