Literally everyone was frustrated that SW was still employed and was going to make this hire... Now that Landry stated he wasn't, the rant is crying. a great coach will be here.

Brother - 2 things:
1) He wants to find a coach on the cheap with no large buyouts (good luck getting a great coach)
2) He is dumb and thinks taxpayers are footing the bill, so he is making sure #1 happens
Bonus:
3) Every time he talks, he makes the job less marketable. STFU Landry.

In 2017 Tennessee was done with Butch Jones. So they fired him. In the weeks that followed Tennessee fans and their boosters convinced themselves every big name coach was salivating over the Tenn. job. They were going to get John Gruden. Everyone knew it. But if not, an equally as big of a name.
Then word leaked the AD was going to hire Greg Schiano. The fans (and a faction of the donors) openly revolted. Chaos ensued. The Governor, whose family is one of UT's biggest donors, got involved. That resulted in a coup where the Schino plans were nixed and the AD was fired...during the search. Phil Flumer was installed as AD so Tennessee could get one of those "big name" coaches who were desperate to coach at UT. Ultimately after all of the chaos they hired.....

If you don't get how the Gov of the state coming out publicly and throwing the AD under the bus in a very "evil villain" kinda way isn't a problem, then I don't know what to tell you.
