Blame Coach O for the drop off in performance, not Tommy Moffitt.

When you have a HC not holding players accountable on the field, in the classroom, and especially adhering to their specific tailor-made S & C routines, then you will see a drop off. Orgeron was a players coach. He let players on the field that weren't putting in the work off of it. That's not on TM. The A & M game showed TM's work. It also showed that of year 4 under Jake Flint.
Saw a ESPN report where Coach O said he'd love to return to LSU as HC. He could be here within the day in his truck. No thanks. Stay far away from this program.

Also, t-bob said yesterday he got reports that O started meddling in the strength and conditioning after 2019

Moffitt is responsible for both LSU and Bama's strength program for something like 9 national championship teams. Bama ran his program verbatim under Scott Cochrane

What I don’t understand is with all the science and everything available to strength and conditioning coaches. I don’t see how one Coach can be that much better than everyone else???.
So much of it depends on the player
And I’ve heard the strength and conditioning coach at Alabama speaking and he’s an impressive dude
These guys are making a lot of money and they all have leadership capabilities

I don’t buy into there being much of a gap between S&C coaches in 2025. If you know what you’re doing you can build muscle on your guys. There’s too much literature out there for Moffitt to be an X-factor over another coach

The knock on moffitt was that he wasn’t changing with the advances in s&c. Was beholden to the Gayle Hatch ways.

All started before Miles was fired.
LSU Football returned to being political after Emmert left.
Woodward should have stayed out of the business around selecting a new LSU president.

From what most ex players say, it’s about the attitude and culture he set.

60 or so players that bitch about how BK didn’t let them around the team, yet they know the details of the strength and conditioning program.
Moffitt is not why A&M won against LSU at all.
