I had my reservations about him and not having head coach experience. Really don’t care anymore after hearing him talk. The dude would bring physicality back to lsu and I guarantee recruits would love him.
The dreads aren’t great but honestly he would cost far less and has the potential to be great.
Would you be mad if he was hired? Upvote if you would take him. Down vote if nah

My question to all the Kelvin Sheppard supporters. If everything was the same, yet he played college ball at Wyoming…you still wanting him as LSU HC?

Evidently it’s not for the winningest active coach in CFB either.

He would be a bad hire. It might work out, but this would be a very underwhelming hire.

I'd rather Frank w/ Kelvin at DC

But he played at LSU so your point is moot. He also played in an era where physicality was demanded. He loves LSU and would bring passion back to the job. He’s also proving himself to be one hell of a coordinator and has a great mentor in Campbell.

People who are strongly against Sheppard have no clue about who he is as a coach and a leader.

None of the dumbasses suggesting him would even know who he is if he didn’t play for LSU. They are ignorant and should be ignored.

Frank is a proven loser as a head coach. Kelvin at least is an unknown.

It’s a risky hire. He has less than a season as a defensive coordinator and barely 5 years total in coaching. I’ll support him, but this is taking a huge chance on a largely unproven coach.

Good position or DC coach does not automatically make a great HC

You can’t be serious…

Day had 5 years as a coordinator and 17 years as a coach when hired

Lanning had 3 as DC and 11 years coaching

Smart had 8 years as DC under freaking Saban and 17 years coaching

Sheppard has 7 GAMES as a DC and 4.5 total years coaching

I’d be fine with him as DC, but y’all are insane if you think he’s earned a HC slot for LSU

If he played anywhere else, he wouldn’t be on the radar and fans would revolt at the suggestion.
