Good with that?

Here is the problem with Kiffin:
Early Signing Period:
December 3-5, 2025
Playoff Schedule:
First round (Dec. 19-20)
Quarterfinals (Dec. 31-Jan. 1)
Semifinals (Jan. 8-9)
National Championship (Jan. 19)
Ole Miss is 7-1.
Kiffin's remaining schedule:
South Carolina
The Citadel
Florida
at Miss State

I personally don't see it being a huge issue unless they make semis.

Serious question, you just aren’t going to sign a high school class at all?
What if Ole Miss makes it to the semis and it’s January 10th until he can take over?
He will have like 10 days to fill a roster of 85 guys.
You think the guys on the roster will just wait it out without knowing who the coach is? They will all be taking visits and hearing offers from dozens of different schools.
All while there is still an interim.

Lane really wants more NIL support. Not only could he get paid more at LSU and with a longer contract but he could have more money for assistants and NIL. LSU is a destination place for coaches and players while Ole Miss is a launching pad.

Ole miss will pay less and keep him.

AT in place handling the roster for him

You didn’t hear Landry today. He doesn’t want the school to have a long expensive guaranteed contract. You are on crack if you think they offer Lane a 15 million 8 years guaranteed. Lane has a 12.5 million 6 year contract offered right now.
Ole Miss has the highest paid assistants in the conference.
NIL between the 2 right now isn’t that different

Yes, but Landry isn't

Yeah, but he would have to live in Baton Rouge

Neither is the 60 plus million dollar buy out that's going to command Kiffin. Hell he prob wont agree to anything under that. I think his at OM currently is around 55 to be fired.
You think he's going to agree to come to that pressure cooker and not agree to a massive buy out??

A 4 star wide receiver committed the other day after he was fired. Money is involved now didn't you listen to Kiffin those cases of tradition and following coaches around are gonna be far and few in between now.

Alabama waited on Kalen DeBoer.
Signed January 12th.

You mean the kid with swac offers?

I don't think any of our current commits are going anywhere. They weren't committed to Brian Kelly, some were committed to the school, others to the money

Maybe you don’t but it’s an issue for LSU and Kiffin, lol. This hire is not going to drag on waiting for Lane Kiffin. He won’t get hired here.

This is what you aren’t realizing. These kids are getting offers this week of 20% more than they are making at LSU. Who is there to make the decision on whether to match or not? You are going to wait into January to make those decisions?
HS kids gets an offer from SEC A and wants LSU to match it. Who makes the decision to match that offer?
So a new coach is going to come in and all his roster cap decision have been made for him before he even signs on the dotted line?
It’s asinine to even fathom.
