I want him. If it is not Lane, than we need to get an "up and coming" OFFENSIVE Coach. We will probably have to go the Coordinator route.

JImmy Sexton has a monolopy on the sport

Its' stupid how it works

Put teasers out, make university pony up a raise or extension so they can keep their coach

that said, it's not the time or place for a governor to speak on it

but he's speaking freely about it

We all think the same about Jimmy Sexton....

he will rape AD's who need a coach

When you want to hire Lane Kiffin

I believe that’s the point Landry is making- Woodward would open the checkbook for Sexton-Kiffin( while they played Florida/Penn State against LSU for more money and years). Landry basically said frick that. There’s a good fit out there just gotta find them. And reward them after they win-

It’s not and never was Kiffin. Do you really think he (or anyone with functioning synopses) would want to cut in on this dance?

Not after today.

Well, we might as well go after an Up and Coming Offensive Coordinator. I would rather NFL, but I'll take a College OC.

The good thing is if Woodward would be hiring, it would be a Fisher, Stoops, or Franklin type of hire. Well known, but way past their prime. That's the only good thing that happened today. The rest was crap.

I think we better get ready for Sumrall.

Why is Sumrall not another Billy Napier?

Don't know, but if the Gov. is not going to pay because of these "agents", who do you think will come here?

Sumrall is already on Louisiana, so he kind of understands the politics. The other coaches won't know what to make of this Governor, so they are not going to make the move.

Jeff Brohm, John Sumerall, Eli Drinkwitz, Urban Meyr, and Brent Key are not Sexton clients. Neither was BK, O, or Miles

Franklin, Lanning, Saban, Deboer, Kiffin, Smart, and Sark are all Sexton clients.

Clark Lea is an unknown

Just a few I looked up.

At least someone with a platform is speaking on it. Nobody in the media will say anything. They all give shite to the ADs about these crazy contracts but you never hear anyone call the greedy arse agents out.

Doubt his agent cares. Gov says ridiculous things all the time.

Jeff landry doesn't have the power to force LSU to hire or not hire someone. He lied when he said taxpayers would be on the hook.

The next coach will be paid for by donor dollars, just like every coach before. Jeff Landry and the taxpayers have no financial input. Landry cannot help this situation, but he certainly can make it harder on LSU to do so, and that's exactly what that cocksucker wants to do.

Elections have consequences.

Landry may be right, but him taking the reigns is a huge mistake!

The coach reports to the AD.....so the AD should hire the coach!

Sexton has many but so does Trace Armstrong and Clint Dowdell. Between the three of them, they probably represent close to $250,000,000 per year in coaches salaries and close to $2B in total contract value. Almost every name thrown out on this board is represented by one of these three. The coaches have a union and it’s called agents. You may avoid them for the head coach, but you can’t avoid them for the entire staff. A dysfunctional school admin will pay through the nose for a coach to sign on.
