Lots of Smoke Around Franklin to VT

Both the VT pay boards and PSU pay boards are saying that Franklin to VT is essentially a done deal. Sounds like around $10 mil a year. Still finalizing length and bonuses.

Such an odd choice for him. Virginia Tech is in notoriously bad shape NIL wise

He's super familiar with the area and all the HS coaches he'll need to recruit from. Supposedly VT is trying to get serious about spending on football - who knows though.

VT will be in contention for the ACC sooner than later. Franklin is a good coach, he may struggle with the big games, but will definitely stabilize and build VT up.

I think it's a great fit for Franklin and VT but I don't think he's a coach that's worth $10 million per year.

Many are talking stabilization, and that’s what I would expect with Franklin too. He may rarely put them in the playoffs, but they should consistently be 8-4 to 10-2.

Yep. I don’t think Franklin is bad, but he had 12 years at PSU, and never could get over the hump.

In the ACC, you only have 1 or 2 top 25 games a year. He's perfect!
