May you rest in peace you served me well..
PS: I am sure I will get about 5 years out of the new one before it dies.

You probably killed it with 30-year-old beer.

I'll pour one out for it.
My beer fridges have always been hand me downs from my brother or dad. The old one usually lasts until they decide to get a new one.

Time to upgrade to a new and improved smart fridge with a screen for Ads.

You have a beer fridge?
I’ve had one at the last two houses I’ve lived at since 2000.
We call it “the outside fridge” but beer fridge is an acceptable variant.
Our present one is from right after Katrina made it’s predecessor dead.

Yep, my 35 year old garage fridge died a year ago! Don’t expect the new one to last 10

No kidding - I put a (I believe Goldstar - it was a Walmart brand in the 80s) dorm fridge into service in 1983 and it served for approximately 30 years.
They literally do not make things like that anymore.

"Garage fridge" is a new category now. There are a lot of us that do not want the bells and whistles that just break

I had to buy a new one 3 years ago after my 25 year old one died. Had to replace the starter relay after two years. New fridges even with no bells and whistles suck.

My condolences for any beers that went hot.

Buddy is still running an avocado green fridge from the late 60's or early 70's (in his garage) and it works without any problems. He did take a vacuum cleaner to the back side a couple years ago and it appeared to be more efficient .

Only 30 years on a beer fridge? Must have gotten a cheap model

My parents still have a Kelvinator fridge in their garage that they bought in 1973. Still keeps everything colder than anything you could buy today.
They had a small repair done a while back and the repair guy said that everything on that fridge was engineered to be rebuilt and it would last forever as long as they can source R12 in the instance it gets a refrigerant leak.

My mom had a deep freezer that was a wedding gift to her and my dad over 50 years ago. We threw it out 2 years ago and it was still working. She had a power outage and some shrimp thawed and the juice got in the insulation through a crack in the bottom. We couldn't get the smell out so we tossed it.

My Dad's fridge is on the fritz and it's about 50 years old (bought before I was born). For a long time he was able to work on it to keep it running, but they don't even make the parts for it anymore.

Mine is a Sears Kenmore from about 1980. It's that weird vanilla color.
I've had to replace the door gaskets a couple of times. Other than that, no problems. I don't remember ever replacing the light bulb.
