Elko pre-A&M and 2025 searches

Seems there’s a lot of fence swinging already in this year’s coaching carousel. Just a reminder for those of you searching, before becoming A&M’s head coach, Mike Elko had only 2 years of HC experience. In his two seasons at Duke, they were 8-4 then 7-5.
Attitude and culture fit matter a lot more than you want to admit. Good luck to everyone in their searches.

Elko may very well become a great head coach but A&M will probably finish the year with one ranked win…
A&M will most likely finish 9-3/8-4 next year when they get back to a normal schedule.

Yup pretty crazy. What’s also crazy is even with how piss poor BK was, he had the same amount of 10 win seasons at LSU as A&M has in 30 years.

Elko was 8-5 last year and hasn’t played anyone in the top
half of the conference standings

What is Elko’s playoff record again? You’re acting like he’s a great coach but we aren’t even to November. His team totally collapsed last season down the stretch. Initial returns this season look good but I think this is a very premature thread.
