From a source I trust, this is what I was told about LSU Football firing head coach Brian Kelly.

The powers that be met with Kelly Sunday morning. There was no discussion about assistants. Kelly was told he was out, period. LSU was moving on without him.

Kelly's buyout was negotiated down to $27 million, about half of what he was owed. This was done through the violation of morality clauses in his contract.

Louisiana governor Jeff Landry met with the LSU Board of Supervisors before Kelly's firing. Landry did not invite LSU athletic director Scott Woodward to this meeting.

Enforcing morality clauses b/c the guy allegedly had a girlfriend when MANY LSU head coaches have had girlfriends while married. I don't think this helps us with Kiffin.

It helps with kiffin because he's absolutely on the table money wise now.

You're naive. Coaches typically have extramarital affairs. Their wives accept it. This along with Gov. Landry being involved isn't a good look. But, some of you all are too dumb to realize this.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Awesome considering the national talking head douche rockets (Dan Wolken) taking shots at us for trying to get out of paying the whole buyout.

Any time we can rub that assholes nose in something I'm all for it.

$27mm buyout is nothing. We have all the funds we want to go big game hunting.

The governor was involved because LSU doesn’t have a president

Would be incredibly dumb to put that out there. Telling the potential new coaches we'll look for a way to not pay you if it goes south and there's an AD/governor power struggle within the search.

I remember reading the blinds for entertainment and it was about BK shacking up with a twenty year old. Then the divorce filings that never happened?

Seems like that could be the morality clause

Kiffin ain’t married. He doesn’t have to worry about any morality clauses involving extramarital relationships.

Why?

Do you realize you can negotiate the T&Cs of contracts before you sign them, right?

BK's contract has nothing to do with future LSU coaching contracts. That all starts anew with the new coach.

If BK knew he was going to sleep around with DD daughter and she was going to tell on him he probably would have demanded less vague morality clause in the contract T&Cs.
