With the new landscape of college football, would someone with NFL coaching experience and success be better suited for this job?
I bet Dennis Allen would love to be a head coach again…..just joking
But really wouldn’t going the NFL be something to look into, if so who would you suggest …

Yeah they have plenty of other coaches who have experience that are not 80 years old.
However I do think Bill would have had been a more successful coach than Brian Kelly, as the LSU coach this year. Bill was start Max Johnson coming off of an almost amputated leg from the previous year.

If you told me I could pick the coach and it had to be a NFL coach it would be Dan Campbell. He is a great coach and the Aggie meltdown would be epic.

if there is a guy, it might be Kliff Kingsbury. I don't think he's a good coach, but i can see someone getting sold on him.

There's a big difference between hiring an NFL guy who's near their prime and an old man more interested in fricking his young girlfriend.

College Football has basically become more professional-like, NFL Coaches know how to deal with all that. Plus, need to be original in how to beat other SEC teams. NFL Coaches generally are better at managing their assistant coaches. John Gruden is out there... "You got to feel it."

Outside of Saban who are the coaches that left the NFL and worked out well in college and stuck around.

If you're looking at the NFL, the first call is to Minter and see if he would rather be a HC in college or continue being a DC in the NFL.

Pete Carroll had a pretty decent run.

NFL and College football are two entirely different entities. Idk why yall think NFL coaches can just go to college and be successful. Majority of the time they suck

Only recent exception has been Harbaugh. He is just a damn good coach.

Belichick warned UNC about making him that offer.

The same Dennis Allen that has had a miserable record everywhere. He’s been a head coach.
