Not Philly, but the general consensus nationally and with LSU ppl is that Lane is the target and anything after that is a backup plan. Also they're out on a few guys such as Sumrall, because they want experience from a bigger school

People think if Ole Miss is in and wins a playoff game they don’t see him leaving due to the schedule.

I don't think he comes here if he wins a playoff game or not. He will get a raise from Ole Miss simply because his name will be bantered about. And in this climate of college football, LSU no longer has the advantage it once did over such schools as Ole Miss.

Thats right...the idea that Sumrall is out because Tulane is too small is nonsense.
He might not be the guy...odds might be against him. But if Kiffin rebuffs us, he's got just as good a chance as anyone else.

That’s what I’ve been saying. The history and tradition isn’t as important anymore. Scoreboard doesn’t care if Vandy hasn’t won anything, they still beat LSU.

I sincerely hope and pray that LSU has more than one big name in their top 3-5. Sumrall, to me, would be an absolute last resort in an "oh shite" moment where nobody else is available.

Woody isn't calling the shots and it's not quite like Riley. Kiffin has a ton of connections within the building already, and if Austin Thomas is the guy doing the interviews like some have said, I don't think there's any doubt it's Lane
