I think more Toyotas are made in America than Japan when you count Lexus and exports.

Hopefully they’re staffed by Americans unlike those ungrateful Korean bastards who sent their own people to take jobs in Georgia.

But will these jobs go to Americans?

Toyota HQ in Plano TX is basically New New Dehli and is Indian from the top down

I wonder if a legitimate argument is being made about the US being a fortress with a moat.

Where would you want your company when all hell breaks loose?

Japan? or the US.

It's a hedge to global instability.

My 4Runner was born in Japan.

Also, Toyota is looking to have a super high end brand the likes of Rolls Royce, Bentley and such- wonder if the two announcements are connected?

I know my Tundra was built in Texas while my brothers ford was built in Mexico.
I remember reading a report years ago the Camry was the most “American made” car we have

Toyotas made in Georgetown, KY are built by American workers. There are some Japanese managers there.

Yes. They still make import some vehicles. My lexus is from Japan. My Tacoma is from Texas.

In Japan Toyota has the Century which is close to Rolls Royce levels.

As long as they sign a, 100 year lease on the land and buildings.

The infrastructure needs to be owned by American citizens.
