Not saying I would’ve checked out, I would’ve found ways around it, but with 100 million on the way and not understanding our fan base very well, it makes a little sense why Kelly checked out.

You don't think the head coach could have benched Nuss or ran a dual QB system?

It's no excuse for Kelly mailing it in, but Woody blocking him from firing Davis is chickenshit if true

If a head coach cannot have the coaches that he wants, because the athletic director wants to retain that coach would cause me to resign. The offensive line is by far the worst unit on the team; Davis should go.

How do you think Woodward must have felt watching Kelly get owned by an 18yo HS QB, his Agent ,"Advisors" , and the University of Michigan ?

It was pretty clear Bryce got sniped by monstrous donor involvement at the last minute... hard to guard against that.

For me, I would have promoted Davis to OL Observer and told his arse to get in the booth and observe his successor build his OLine.

For Nuss, I would have just benched him and dealt with whatever fallout, if any.

Why resign when you can position for the buyout?

From what I understand, Kelly's problems went far beyond Davis. He was an awful fit and truly an unlikable person.

resigning means you forfeit the rest of your contract. Very, very few coaches resign, they wait to get fired so they get their buyout.

I thought Dave Portnoy was rather clear on his involvement in paying Underwood.
