Saturday he clearly said What the F are you doing, Joe? It was third down and no timeouts!!

I don’t get why he didn’t just agree to fire Sloan and keep coaching. Well actually keep being a CEO and simply hire a better OC.

I honestly think he’s sick of the scrutiny. Realized he has hit his peak (however short) here at LSU, and just wants the easy payday with no stress.

Dude couldn’t handle a press pool that (frankly) doesn’t have much bite. I doubt he wanted that to continue knowing he has no real fight left in him.

BK would rather keep yelling at the same assistants over and over each week than step in during practice and actually get the shite corrected

He said recently he has veto power over play calls. So I ask, wtf are YOU doing BK!?!?!?

The bigger question is why didn’t Kelly veto the play AS IT WAS BEING CALLED?

I also heard him say multiple times in the Monday media sessions he did NOT get involved in individual play calling but instead only the overall design of the offense for a game. Also, how in the hell are you going to override a call in just a few seconds hearing it on the headset. You COULD call timeout to do that but LSU had no timeouts. To blame Kelly for not trying to override that incredibly stupid call that Sloan made doesn't make any sense. Oh, and I'm sure everyone knows that LSU is lucky to get ANY play run before a delay of game penalty. LSU had the slowest "playcalling to snap" time of any team I see each week. Yet, LSU has time to override a play call. Nope!

I honestly just don't think he wanted it anymore. It would have been so easy to make a change. He could have done it earlier and saved Sloan's job. Just give Atkins play calling duties, and have Sloan work with the QBs more. With Garrett injured, most people would have thought that made sense. If it didn't work, it didn't work, but Sloan wasn't working anyway.

I just think he realized early on (the spoiled press conference) that this season wasn't going to go well and he probably wouldn't survive, and mailed it in.

Because he's so damn stubborn. Saban can get away with doing what he wants because he wins a championship every other year or so.

BK is just not a great coach. Not sure why he can't see what the rest of us do.

You're right about that. I don't know why people keep repeating that.

No coach is going to sit there and override a play while it's being called. They might tell the play caller what to do before the call but there is no way to "override a call" while it's being sent in.

The bigger problem is that he’s the HC and, allegedly’ knows what calls are being made and can veto them.

Why did he let Joe make that call in the first place?

because that whole story is BS and made up by scott. because scott knows his arse is in hot water also once the new president comes in and i hope it is the guy from mcneese as he is the one the governor wants.

That play was called coming out of a timeout. They had plenty of time to get the right play called

I think it was out of a timeout BUT I'm not sure when the play was actually set in stone. As you know, plays are changed at the LOS all the time and I believe the helmet communications are on until 15 seconds? before the play clock expires. To act like the play on the sidelines was the play actually called when the teams lined up on the LOS is probably not the case.

Yep. We all did, too.

I don’t KNOW. But, I really strongly suspect, I get the feeling….that he was as suprised as we all were to be fired on a Sunday night.

I think he thought everybody here was being unreasonable, too high expectations. He survived a much worse season at ND—4-8 in 2016, 8-5 in 2014.

He never understood that the SEC is different.

More than likely, he thinks we're spoiled.

he had no answers. The sad part is I think he thought you just get good players and voila.

I don’t think he really knew we weren’t good.

I think every other coach in the SEC knew it.
