He’s definitely the first choice but it may not work out timing wise. If OM makes the playoffs there’s just no way to get it done. He would miss the portal window.

His point is one portal window is minimal and arguably insignificant in the grand scheme of things
No one is going to judge you in Year1 anyway. It’s year 2-4 where you get judged
I’m not saying Kiffin should be the hire, but if they think he is the right hire…. Don’t get scared off because of one portal window and 2026 season that will be forgotten in a couple years

Exactly. Let Austin Thomas do what he can in that portal window and it’ll be ok. If Lane is excited but wants to finish it out that’s ok. That portal class is not important given we have a couple year rebuild anyway.
