I don't expect many newly hired head coaches to take he honeypot bait next time.

Now knowing LSU got a 30% discount on their contract with BK by honeypotting him there is no way a competent head coach is going to repeat that again. I know pussy is undefeated but damn keep your dick in your pants when millions are on the line.
With that said what are some other tactics besides honeypotting to potentially earn future contract discounts (from the University's perspective)?

Why would a coach go to a school that has PI's and sets honeypots for them to reduce buyouts. It's why Auburn has to hire retreads or G5 wonders.

FWIW, I really don't think it was an intentional honeypot. It just turned out that way and LSU apparently leveraged it.

Another conspiracy theorist that probably watches News Narion all day long. The fact that you would think LSU would intentionally sabotage themselves in advance to save on a contract negotiation for a firing that hadn't happened yet is beyond next level, apocalyptic bullshite.
