He should not be the guy but can you imagine how ND fans would react

Discussed as in one of our top targets? Or as in he has mutual interest?

Just listed as a target mostly.

He told Florida no straight off the rip , which is interesting because he has yet to deny anything LSU.

Perhaps his agent is trying to rile up the Irish money people into a raise.

He would fail miserably here. He's not even that good of a head coach.

They will say they hated him and wanted him gone.

Didn’t his wife not want to live in Louisiana? I remember that being said when he turned down the DC job a few years ago

I thought it was more of "you're not working for that man" in Orgeron.

Remember Mel Tucker? Just because the media all say a name doesn’t mean it has any relevance. They’re like a group of parrots in a cage.

I believe if LSU inquired, we would get the same answer he gave Florida and ND brass and fans would essentially memorialize him at that point for doing it.

ND is willing to pay him and he will have a much easier path to the playoffs every year at ND than here.

The only job I see Freeman leaving ND for would be the NFL.

LSU should not go back to fishing in that well. And I think Freeman is a very good young coach. His ND teams are noticeably more physical and tough than Kelly's powder puff teams.

But LSU needs go a different route.
