He made a hugely disastrous hire in BK costing the program years and accomplishing exactly nothing. How can he be allowed to bring on another football HC? He needs to go.

His only hope is hiring a great coach at a good price.

BK was seen as a very good hire by a VAST majority of people in this country. Sometimes shite doesn't work out. Appears BK started coasting and was too loyal to some assistants over his tenure.

Private money was used to correct the issue very quickly. It's brutally hard to find a great head college football coach.

The job of the AD is as much fundraising for NIL and salaries and buyouts as it is picking the coaches, and he's a world class fundraiser. He has done well in baseball and women's basketball, BK was seen as a good hire we stole from Notre Dame, and it just didn't work out. Basketball program was in ashes and he was pretty limited on who he could hire, but I expect that to be fixed soon as well (with a small buyout).

It is believed that Woodward is on his way out. It is also believed that Woodward did not have a say in Kelly's firing. Or at least it wasn't his sole decision.

People are just making this up at this point. There is zero evidence to suggest this.

He’s still considered one of the best AD’s in the country. The Kelly thing didn’t work out, but he owned it and fixed his mistake yesterday. He’s also made some incredibly good hires.

If Woodward is fired, do we retain Jay and Kim?

This. 95% here loved the hire.

Also this. People are stupid. You go big, and sometimes you miss. No one is a fortune teller. BK didn't work out, but he wasn't as bad as Napier.

You can't predict that a guy will get lazy.

Woody isn't doing a bad job overall, but his big hire didn't work out. shite happens.

Yes, the football coach was a tremendous fail, but he has 3 other national championships under his belt. Football is the money maker and the big dog, but baseball is making huge strides. He needs to hit a homerun for football now, and men's basketball next. You can't just fire him after 1 coach fails.

2 of the coaches he’s hired have also combined for 3 natty’s already.

Yes, football is the staple, the money maker. I’m just throwing out a data point, that Mulkey has 1 & Johnson has 2, both still actively coaching, winning & pursuing more.

You are insane if you think the boosters are going to let Woodward hire the next coach on his own. I say Woodward is gone within 4 weeks of having a new President.

He will not be here much longer. But a new Pres has to be selected first.

Woodward has a very good set of friends. The kind that came up with the money solutions to fire Kelly (and many other money needs). That circle of friends is very important to LSU. He will stay for a while.

It isn't only Brian Kelley, he is responsible for the 2 of the worst contracts in college football. Both Jimbo and BK.

On Matt Moscona show last night he said Jeff Landry has his fingers all up in the mix. He said Landry has been looking at the clean house at LSU anyway to get his people in there. Now whether or not you believe that is up to you, but we should have an answer in the next few weeks I would imagine.
